About
Wall Street origins. Nashville roots. Building at the intersection of engineering, product, and AI.
The Short Version
I’m Adam Thede — founder of Thede Technologies, a software development and technology consulting company based in Nashville, Tennessee. I build products and help companies ship faster with AI-augmented engineering practices.
The Full Story
I started on Wall Street. Spent years at Lehman Brothers managing emerging market fixed income trading operations in New York — generating substantial revenue, learning how markets work, and understanding what it means to operate in high-stakes, high-velocity environments.
Then I made a deliberate shift to technology. Graduated from Nashville Software School, joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center to build web applications, and discovered that building software scratched the same itch that trading did — pattern recognition, calculated risk, and the rush of shipping something real.
I moved into engineering leadership at Senior Market Advisors, co-leading a small engineering team and designing the core platform. Then to Possip, where as VP of Engineering I became the solo technical team member — responsible for everything from DevOps and infrastructure to feature development and product discovery.
That’s where the AI shift happened. Over the past two years, I’ve rebuilt my entire workflow around AI-augmented development. Today I operate as a one-person engineering team with the output comparable to a 3–5 person team. I’ve built and maintain a full-stack web application, an iOS app, and a macOS desktop app — simultaneously, as a solo developer.
Thede Technologies is the vehicle for what comes next: consulting work that helps other companies navigate this same transformation, and products (the Silo ecosystem) that I believe are worth building and handing down.
